Inmo-Tech is one of the first companies to install the recently launched Kistler CoMo Injection cavity pressure monitoring system to ensure dimensional precision of its injection moulded components.

Irish injection moulder, Inmo-Tech is one of the first companies to install the recently launched Kistler CoMo Injection cavity pressure monitoring system to ensure the dimensional precision of its injection moulded components for the healthcare and electrical sectors Inmo-Tech's first application of the CoMo Injection system is in quality assurance of a medical device, moulded in high molecular weight polystyrene, made up of two injection moulded components that must fit together with an hermetic seal

To ensure the precision of the two moulded components, Inmo-Tech fit Kistler piezoelectric pressure sensors in each mould cavity and use CoMo Injection to compare cavity pressure curves during the injection and holding phases with a preset specification.

If, at any time, the cavity pressure curve deviates outside user defined limits, the CoMo Injection system provides a signal to a component deflection device which automatically sends the out of spec component to the reject bin.

Set-up twenty-one years ago, Inmo-Tech has earned a reputation for high quality, precision mouldings by always making use of best practice technology as it becomes available.

As managing director, Brendan Cunningham says, "We operate in a highly competitive marketplace where quality comes before price.

Modern technology, like CoMo Injection, helps us maintain our reputation for quality and precision whilst keeping costs under control.".
