Kistler has developed a low profile accelerometer which is ideal for product qualification/acceptance testing, structural/vibroacoustic and shock testing of lightweight structures.

The low profile accelerometer from Kistler has been developed for use in harsh, dirty or wet environments where space is at a premium but high temperature stability is essential Mounting is by a single, central hole with a side-mounted connector to allow 360deg cable orientation

The accelerometer is ideal for a wide range of product testing applications including product qualification/acceptance testing and structural/vibroacoustic and shock testing for lightweight structures.

The heart of the sensor is a shear cut PiezoStar grown crystal, unique to Kistler, combined with an integral impedance converter providing industry leading temperature stability within the wide operating range from minus 54degC to plus 165degC.

This high stability is supported by excellent signal quality from the integral ground isolation, especially important in electrically noisy environments, and high signal quality achieved by the elimination of ground loops.

The Transducer Electronic Data Sheet (TEDS) version simplifies installation and calibration but, where this is not required, a non-TEDS version may be specified.

Both versions have identical performance.

The wide frequency range from 2Hz to 10kHz, the signal output of 1 mV/g over the +/-5000g measuring range and +/-8000g overload limit will meet the needs of a wide variety of demanding applications in laboratory testing and production QA monitoring.
