K3 has released details of the future company structure after the acquisition of SYSPRO ERP reseller McGuffie Brunton.

Following its acquisition of SYSPRO ERP reseller McGuffie Brunton, K3 has released details of the future company structure K3 Business Technology Group plc acquired SYSPRO reseller McGuffie Brunton this week, adding more than GBP6 million of annual revenues and making it the world's biggest SYSPRO distributor

K3 now has annual manufacturing software solution sales of more than GBP15 million and over 1,000 customers in 30 countries.

Sales from K3's retail business bring the company's total annual revenues to GBP30 million.

McGuffie Brunton will be fully integrated with K3's existing SYSPRO distribution and implementation business (formerly Information Engineering) during the second half of 2007.

The merged business will be based in Manchester and will become known as K3 SYSPRO; it will be one of two operations making up K3's Manufacturing Division - the other, K3 Walton, based in Surrey, manages the customer base for the company's other software solutions.

The two SYSPRO businesses will continue to operate as separate entities for the time being, with Pat McCarthy continuing as managing director of the K3 SYSPRO operation, and Howard Joseph becoming managing director of K3 McGuffie Brunton Once integration is complete, Pat McCarthy will become chairman of K3's manufacturing division, with Howard Joseph and Maggi Fraser heading up K3 SYSPRO and K3 Walton respectively - Maggi Fraser is currently general manager of K3 Walton.

Pat McCarthy says "The acquisition of McGuffie Brunton is a great move and great news for customers.

It makes K3 a very strong player in the manufacturing sector and gives us a fantastic base to reach further into major projects and new markets.

K3 has a great team and so does McGuffie Brunton.

Going forward we will build on this to maximise our dominant market position and the emphasis will be very much on growth.".
