Hansen Transmissions, a manufacturer of wind turbine gearboxes, has substantially improved productivity with the installation of a bespoke Tentec Multi-Stud Bolt Tensioning tool.
Designed and manufactured by the UK-based engineering company, the custom-built multi-stud tensioning device has a diameter of 2m and enables engineers in the production facility to simultaneously tighten all 52 M39 bolts on the gearbox quickly, accurately and safely.
Tentec provides a range of standard bolt-tightening products, including the recently launched Aero range of bolt-tensioning tools for wind-power generation.
