Foundry robot has more versatile wrist
A more versatile robot wrist, which is coated in an extra heavy duty, heat-resistant paint, allows a foundry robot to continuously withstand temperatures of up to 100degC.
The versatile, high accuracy robots feature a slimline base axis which means they take up very little floor space and can be positioned close to the workpiece.
The streamline design also means they operate in an efficient working range and with a minimum interference radius.
KUKA produces two HA versions, the KR30 and KR60, which are capable of handling payloads up to 30kg and 60kg respectively, with two further arm-extended options also available from the high-technology industrial robot manufacturer.
All the main moving parts of the robot are made of light cast alloy for speed and flexibility while the lifetime-lubricated axes are powered by plug-in, brushless AC servo motors which are not only maintenance-free but also offer reliable protection against overload.
KUKA's HA robots are supplied with user-friendly, hand-held controllers, which feature an 8 inch colour screen with menu-driven display for easy programming and navigation.
"These high accuracy robots are suitable for all applications where accurate path following is required.
The benefits of high gear ratio, slimline design and absolute calibration ensure unrivalled levels of performance and reliability," explained Brett Green, KUKA's general sales manager.
