The new business wins underline an impressive period of growth for KUKA, which has been established in the UK for over 30 years and employs around 80 staff at its Hereward Rise headquarters.
"I'm delighted with the amount of new business generated since the start of this year and firmly believe that KUKA has begun to reap the rewards of an ambitious diversification programme," commented managing director Alan Shilton.
"While the automotive market is still an important sector for the business, it is no longer an exclusive activity as it was a decade ago".
"Thanks to the efforts of everyone who works for KUKA in the UK, the company has been able to diversify seamlessly into a wide range of industries, providing robots and integrated automation systems for almost any application," he added.
KUKA will shortly launch a series of new models including a high-speed palletising robot capable of handling payloads up to 40kg and a KR16 range of robots including variants specially designed to work in challenging environments.
