KUKA Robotics Corporation, USA, has signed a lease at the Scott Technology Transfer and Incubator Center in Omaha, Nebraska, with plans to open a new technical facility.

KUKA Robotics Corporation, a leading global manufacturer of industrial robots, today announced it has signed a lease at the Scott Technology Transfer and Incubator Center in Omaha Nebraska with plans to open a new technical facility The facility will serve as a new showroom testing and validation center for robotic concepts

Scheduled for a fall opening, the new center further demonstrates KUKA Robotics' commitment to develop new robotic technologies in the United States.

"The Scott Technology Center is an excellent fit for KUKA Robotics as both share the vision of excellence in the creation and development of tools for emerging technologies," said Kevin Kozuszek, director of marketing for KUKA Robotics Corporation.

"Additionally we are very pleased to be able to further expand the availability of KUKA automation technology with the development of this new facility." The Scott Technology Center is an outgrowth of The Peter Kiewit Institute and provides facilities and infrastructure for large and small organizations directly partnered with The Peter Kiewit Institute.

The Technology complex currently totals 220,000ft2 of engineering and technology related facilities.

Opening late 2001, the Technology Center includes a technology and business incubator having graduated five companies and currently housing approximately four start-up companies with the majority of the complex comprised of larger, more established technology transfer organizations.
