Kuka for AGV systems
KUKA Robotics Corporation has been selected by Transbotics Corporation to provide robotics to work in conjunction with a new line of Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGV).
The KUKA robots and AGV system streamline material handling processes for many manufacturers by offering a complete solution for material handling from receiving to production to shipping.
The new Automatic Trailer Loading AGV recently previewed at ProMat in Chicago, IL will be utilizing KUKA's palletizing robots such as the KUKA KR 40 and KUKA KR 180 models to palletize and depalletize products presented via the AGV.
"We are extremely pleased to have been selected as Transbotics' robotics supplier," said Kevin Kozuszek, director of marketing for KUKA Robotics Corporation.
"This new Automatic Trailer Loading AGV system is yet another example of Transbotics' commitment to providing its customers with cutting edge flexible technology that will significantly improve operations." "We chose KUKA Robotics for its dedication to robotics and service excellence," said Randy Jennings, vice president for Transbotics Corporation.
"This new material handling system with KUKA's state of the art robots is the next step in assuring that we can not only meet but exceed our customer's need for automation."
