Robotic layer forming palletisng package
A new robotic layer forming palletising package will be introduced at Pack Expo by Kuka Automation + Robotics.
Kuka Robotics has announced it will introduce and demonstrate its new robotic layer forming palletising solution at Pack Expo in Las Vegas, NV October 15-17, 2007 booth S-5767 Robotic layer forming virtually eliminates package damage caused by conventional palletizers as they mechanically turn the packages to form interlocking pallet patterns that are necessary to create a stable pallet without a reduction in palletizing speed

Robots designed for high accuracy path following
A range of robots that are specifically designed for a wide variety of high accuracy applications including laser cutting and welding boast excellent path-following accuracy.
The solution utilizes a Kuka KR 40 PA robot to positively orient and position each case or package to form the layer.
The result is a robust, repeatable, flexible, and fast palletizing solution that does not sacrifice product or case integrity.
"Major retailers are increasingly requiring product shipments to be smaller, display ready and more varied in size and configuration and thus manufacturers need a more versatile system that can handle frequent product changeovers," said Stuart Shepherd, president of Kuka Robotics Corporation.
"Our solution gives existing conventional palletizer users and manufacturers a lower cost option to retrofit their current system or improve future end of line packaging systems.
Kuka Robotics is partnering with its system partner T-Tek Material Handling (booth C-4846) of Montgomery, Alabama to introduce and demonstrate the new solution at the show.
