'Intelligent' wireless machine data transducers collect and analyse real-time data from production operations, eliminating errors, delays and unproductive labor in manual data recording.

Production Process company said that with its 'intelligent' wireless machine data transducers, manufacturers can improve their productivity by collecting and analysing real-time data from production operations Production Manager/03 software collects data from production machines using MDT03W Wireless Machine Data Transducers, one connected to each machine

The MDT03W collects data using machine's existing electrical/mechanical operating signals, rather than complicated (or non-existent) serial connections.

Automated production reporting eliminates the errors, delays and unproductive labor inherent in manual data recording and transcription, said Production Process to manufacturingtalk.com.

Management can detect production problems before productivity or quality suffers with a real-time productivity dashboard displaying machine OEE, status, production rates and cycle time/rate.

* Remote monitoring - for remote monitoring, e-mail alerts are sent when production and OEE/performance targets aren't being met, or machine status changes.

For continuous improvement and lean initiatives, users can analyse and continuously monitor OEE, utilization, production data, down time and setup time by product, machine, and shift.

By comparing actual performance against standards, users can develop accurate job cost data and production standards.

OEE data and reports can be viewed by unlimited users using Web browser, but can also be exported to Excel.

System installation is simple and economical, said Production Process.

Communications are robust because wireless link uses long range Radiotronix Wi.232 Wireless Modems that provide coverage of a 100,000ft2 plant with one Base Station.

MDT-03W lists for US$575.00.

Production Manager software with Base Station costs US$2495.00.
