FTIR Microscopy system is equipped with Merlin software, a full-featured spectroscopic data collection and analysis program that includes the ability to perform simple quantitative analysis.

Lambda Advanced Technology (LAT) has introduced a low cost FTIR microscopy system with outstanding performance The combination of Digilab's Scimitar FTS-2000 FTIR spectrometer and UMA 400 infrared microscope allows microscopic visual inspection of samples, the isolation of areas for FTIR analysis and the measurement of spectra

The UMA 400 can operate in both reflection and transmission and has a choice of objectives, including attenuated total reflection (ATR) accessories.

This is an extremely powerful facility for an entry level system and greatly enhances the range of samples that can be examined to include polymers, pharmaceuticals, paints, papers and ink without special preparation and without sample damage.

The microscope features infinity-corrected, all-reflecting optics which eliminate stray light and have a high energy throughput for good signal-to-noise.

A high sensitivity wide-band IR detector covers the entire mid infrared range, providing the perfect match with the mid infrared Scimitar spectrometer.

The system is equipped with Merlin software, a full-featured spectroscopic data collection and analysis program that includes the ability to perform simple quantitative analysis.

Merlin features validation, history tracking, reprocessing and diagnostics and is 21 CFR Part 11 Compliant.

The system can be upgraded to include a video camera and motorised stage and aperture.

By adding a focal plane array detector, the system can be configured to perform infrared spectrochemical imaging and mapping, where a series of IR spectra are collected from a preset grid.
