Latest business simulation enhancements cover, in particular, improved flexibility for complex labour and resource management and a new dynamic variable concept.

Lanner Group has announced the launch of WITNESS 2003.

This is the latest version of Lanner's WITNESS, independently rated as the world's leading business simulation modelling product.

The key theme of WITNESS 2003, now on general release, is 'Working with You." The enhancements in WITNESS 2003 focus on the use-ability of the software for all levels of users, from business users to dedicated simulationists.

In this release, Lanner has introduced some significant changes to the "look and feel" and the handling of the product to drive its competitive advantage and extend its market lead.

The enhancements cover a broad range of features which add to the power of modelling with WITNESS, in particular improved flexibility for complex labour and resource management, a new dynamic variable concept, wider element attribute coverage and new containers functionality.

An improved "look and feel" has been provided to help ease of use and speed of model build.

Features include many new toolbar options for model layout including isometric grids and flexible co-ordinate systems, new grouping concepts for easy access and a new "multi-designer" template for fast access to different market and application templates.

Simulation modelling is an excellent way of communicating and collaborating, enabling information sharing both within companies and between companies.

WITNESS 2003 has a complete new range of fully-customisable charts and reports with wizard options.

It also supports new group displays which are very useful for process diagram support.

Visualisation of processes or business models improves communication and understanding.

WITNESS 2003 supports a new release of the 3D Viewer technology and offers a platform for many new device plug-ins.

WITNESS 2003 is a response to the way that people, simulationists and business users, alike work today and the enhancements built into the new version are a reflection of what customers want to see and demand for accurate and fast building of simulation process models.
