Laplink delivers synchronisation solution for Windows Vista-based ultra mobile PCs

Laplink Software, a pioneer in connectivity solutions, announces the availability of PCsync, one of the first Windows Vista file synchronisation software product specifically designed for Ultra-Mobile PCs (UMPCs) With PCsync, consumers running Windows Vista on UMPC devices can easily synchronise large files and folders - including photos, music, videos and more - between UMPCs and other PCs running Windows Vista, Windows XP or Windows 2000

Developed by the company that for 25 years has provided a broad range of file transfer, migration, and synchronisation solutions for PCs, Laplink PCsync enhances the Windows Vista consumer experience by enabling fast, easy, synchronisation of files and folders across multiple PCs.

With PCsync, consumers can transfer and synchronise virtually any type or size of files and folders across UMPCs and standard desktop and notebook PCs - and can even set up unattended, completely automated synchronisation jobs - using a wireless or wired network connection, or using the new Easy Transfer for Windows Vista USB cable.

"At Laplink, we're committed to developing innovative ways to connect PCs," said Mark Chestnut, Senior VP of Sales and Business Development at Laplink.

"We are extremely pleased to be able to provide consumers with a great synchronisation solution that has been specifically tailored to the unique screen and user interface requirements of Ultra Mobile PCs running Windows Vista".

"Windows Vista is designed to fit people's lives, not vice versa".

"Our work with Laplink helps us deliver on the promise of personal computing," said Dave Wascha, director of partner marketing communications for Windows Client at Microsoft Corp.
