Hydraulic tool holders made for high speed
Latest hydraulic tool holding range is suitable for high speed and high precision machining operations, such as milling, drilling, reaming, boring and engraving.
"We looked at the chucking options available to us," comments technical development manager, Andy Wearing, "and identified the Gamet solution as providing the most cost-effective answer in terms of through-bore capacity coupled with compactness." Also taken into consideration, he reflects, was the fact that the process has historically presented a problem in datum point location.
"But we've overcome that by developing special tooling for automatic referencing in the chuck," he says.
Available in diameters from 90mm to 450mm, the chucks are complemented by a wide range of other Gamet chucks also available from Leader Chuck Systems.
The portfolio embraces lever chucks (105mm to 80mm diameter), quick change jaw/anti centrifugal chucks (152mm to 450mm) and the Delta Vario brand (programmable high/low grip types) in diameters of 140mm to 470mm.
