Increasing awareness of the necessity for accurate mapping of buried services has lead to extensive service locating and mapping programs.

Increasing awareness of the necessity for accurate mapping of buried services has lead to extensive service locating and mapping programs.

The new launched Leica Digicat 200 GIS with wireless data connectivity is built on the "Safety First" philosophy of the whole Digisystem product family and designed to operate with maximum safety in a potentially dangerous working environment.

Leica Digicat 200 GIS is the integrated solution to buried service locating and GIS data capture.

It enables 3D buried service locating and mapping processes to be carried out by the same work team, even a single operator can now locate buried services and capture 3D GPS data using industry standard equipment and GIS software packages.

Proven buried service location technology and GIS data capture equipment result in reduced sources of operational data capture errors and improve data accuracy and reliability.

Working in busy construction sites presents a personal hazard to construction workers who must use both their eyes and ears to ensure personal safety.

The Digicat 200 GIS has both visual and audio indicators to provide the safest indication to the operator when working in adverse conditions.

When used as a safety tool, locating hazardous and life threatening buried services, operator error is a real threat to safe operation.

The Digicat 200 GIS automatically starts in the 'power' mode and sets maximum detection sensitivity for a 'Safety first' approach.

Leica Digicat 200 GIS creates a secure wireless connection to a compatible wireless field terminal and other data capture devices.

Used in conjunction with the Leica Digitex signal generator operating in 33kHz mode, the Digicat 200 GIS enables reliable plan position pinpointing and depth estimation from 0.3 to 3m (1 to 10ft) - this provides full 3D location of buried services.

The DigicatTM 200 can be set to trace either an 8 or 33kHz tracing signal and get the best results for the specific site conditions.

For users requiring depth indication in imperial or metric depth measurement units, the Digicat 200 GIS is available with either depth indicated in meter or feet and inch format.

Rugged and lightweight, its construction is designed for use from -20 to + 50 deg C (-4 to +122 deg F) and meeting IP54 environmental standards makes the Digicat 200 GIS an ideal construction site tool.
