Productive VMC has exceptional rigidity
A remarkable build quality sees a vertical machining centre built upon a mirror finish boxway construction that guarantees exceptional rigidity combined with a 50m/min rapid rate.
Following the European debut at EMO of the upgraded 30,000 rev/min derivative, the Mycenter 1XiF SP twin pallet vertical machining centre from Kitamura was on show at the Leader CNC November 2005 Open House in the UK The Open House showed the new Mycenter 1XiF with an X, Y and Z axis of 510, 355 and 460mm respectively is set to become the most productive machine in its class

Two advanced machining centres to go on show
Kitamura will show a VMC with a 30,000 rev/min spindle and Fanuc 16iMB CNC control with 500 block look ahead and a high accuracyt production HMC at EMO 2005.
Horizontal and vertical machining centres launched
A 5 axis horizontal machining centre, with a newly designed pallet exchange system and trunnion arrangement has linear/rotary scales that guarantee high accuracy and high metal removal.
The remarkable build quality that Kitamura is renowned for sees the machine built upon a mirror finish boxway construction that guarantees exceptional rigidity combined with a 50m/min rapid feed rate.
Contributing to the rigidity is a finely tuned dual contact, 30 taper spindle configuration supported by a combination of cylindrical roller bearings at the top with two double direction angular roller bearings at the base, this in-house construction ensuring silent rotational movement under heavy loads.
The high specification spindle developing 71Nm of torque is matched by the Mycenter's high precision capability.
Credit to its Intelligent Advanced Control System (IAC) that controls the effects of heat displacement via regulating sensors and a ballscrew cooling system that circulates chilled oil through the ballscrew shafts - the Mycenter has a positional accuracy of +/-0.002mm and a repeatability of +/-0.001mm as standard.
The speed and rigidity of the machine is well matched with a lightning quick Sparkchanger rotating twin pallet system, saving valuable seconds per part compared to competitor machines.
This makes it especially well suited to high volume manufacturing environments.
To ensure the minimum of operator intervention and to match the speed and capability of the Mycenter 1XiF, the machine has a phenomenal chip management system.
Swarf is flushed from the machining area by high pressure coolant and then removed from the machine by screw type chip conveyors either side of the bed.
The Mycenter 1XiF has a high speed rigid tapping function and separate fluid control boxes for productive fluid management and improved maintenance.
The powerful Kitamura-Fanuc 16iMB control includes a multitude of additional extras that are too many to mention.
