Servo-driven barfeed is smooth and accurate
Extremely fast, servo-driven barfeed system for lathes ensures smooth and accurate loading and positioning of round, square and hexagonal bars without damage or deflection.
The Samsys Multisam 3000 barfeed has totally superceded the old-fashioned pneumatic units previously supplied, said UK agent, Leader CNC of Nuneaton.
The extremely fast Multisam 3000 is available in two barfeed lengths and uses a fully electric servo-driven magazine with updated software.
It offers full flexibility for round, square and hexagonal bars.
The Multisam 3000 uses a pulsed indexing system to ensure smooth and accurate loading and positioning of bars without damage or deflection, even for hexagonal bars into lathes without a C-axis.
Full servo control allows machining of different length components from the same bar, also programmed nesting minimises remnant wastage.
Set-up time of the Multisam 3000 is less than three minutes.
The compact unit also frees up valuable floor space as it changes spindle liners without retracting the whole unit.
The Samsys Multisam 3000 unit has a unique loading cycle that uses a rotary movement that eliminates bar damage often caused by cascading.
Stored on an inclined rack, bars are retained and follow the movement of the selector grips prior to being placed on a V-loader which remains fixed and accurately aligned with the lathe spindle during the barfeed cycle.
Software has been improved to make it more user friendly and inbuilt diagnostics simplify rectification of any problems.
