At this year's Ambex, Laerdal Medical will be exhibiting the new Heartstart First Aid Defibrillator on Stand no. A14.

The Heartstart First Aid Defibrillator is so simple to use that anyone who has had minimal training can use it safely and effectively on sudden cardiac arrest victims before the arrival of a paramedic The Heartstart First Aid Defibrillator has been developed for use by members of the public in public places, first-aiders in the workplace and in ambulance-based first responder schemes in an effort to increase the survival rate of heart attack victims in the UK

Also on Laerdal's stand this year will be the Laerdal SimMan.

SimMan is an affordable and portable patient simulator that has been designed specifically to meet the scenario-based training needs of ACLS, ATLS and difficult airway management.

SimMan provides realistic preparation for rare and difficult cases and repeatable scenarios that allow for errors without harming patients.

It also gives students the opportunity to practice team interaction, leadership and decision-making skills in patient-care scenarios.

As SimMan is fully portable, it can be used for training on location, for individuals or groups on advanced practices.

In this new generation of patient simulation, Laerdal offers multiple training opportunities that have not been previously available or affordable.
