Within the first week of launching its updated website, Learning Light (LL), a non-profit organisation, seeking to establish itself as a Centre of Excellence in the use of learning technologies in the workplace, has announced that the site has been inundated with large numbers of people visiting the site and requesting the three research reports that are available, free, to those registering their interest in LL These reports are:

* Generating demand for e-learning - 'The 21st Century Citizen'.

* At cross purposes - Why e-learning and knowledge management don't get along.

* Enterprise Learning 2006 - Trends, focus areas and predictions for 2006 (provided by LL's internationally renowned, US-based partners, Bersin and Associates).

According to Mark Pittaway, LL's chief executive: "The website invites visitors to register for LL's free combined 'e-Learning Centre and Learning Light' newsletter and email updates.

"Naturally, we're delighted with the enthusiastic response that the site is receiving," he added.

"This not only shows the high degree of interest that exists in corporate e-learning but also that, since its launch only in March this year, LL has already established an enviable reputation as a supplier of high quality and trustworthy information about the learning technologies sector." Pittaway continued: "Periodically we will also inform those who register about what's new in LL, along with telling them about the latest learning technology advances and best practice news - including useful hints and tips, learning hot topics, interesting articles and case studies from leading experts and practitioners, together with news of forthcoming networking events and webinars." Pittaway added that LL's new website also includes information about its three major activities: Membership Services, Research Services and Professional Development Services.

Its research activities focus on market growth, trends and analysis; strategy and planning best practice; implementing best practice, and continuous improvement.

Its benefits packages for LL members are designed to provide insightful research and links to the industry to enable members to make faster informed decisions, through LL's knowledge base; publications, papers, news, surveys and guides; networking events; professional services support and expert advice; workshops and training.

"We also supply buyer and supplier consultancy services - to help LL members understand what's available and how to apply best practice to improve performance - in organisational assessments; strategy and planning; infrastructure design; blended learning design; tendering and procurement; deployment and implementation, as well as learning and development," Pittaway added.

"Further details of all these things are available on the new website.".
