The Electric Drive with Mechanical Simplicity
The new Varmeca is a motor with some simple but clever circuitry in the terminal box and a large knob on the outside with which to control the speed.
Motor offers integrated speed control
The latest motor with integrated speed control from Leroy Somer retains all the usability of the original Varmeca introduced in 1996, but now has instant network connectivity.
These motors are eligible for the Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA), enabling the cost of their supply and installation to be offset against corporation tax.
The UK government has introduced the ECA and Climate Levy, to encourage the efficient use of energy.
Transdrive is also stocking the Leroy Somer Digidrive, a technically advanced, fully featured AC drive rated from 0.25kW to 15kW, as well as providing system integrator support for the configured drive range.
Paul Wren, Sales Director at Transdrive, said, "The Enhanced Capital Allowance has generated a high level of interest in the whole range of Eff 1 motors.
Delivery has become an important consideration for many of our customers and the stockist agreement means we can meet most popular requirements immediately.
Leroy Somer is a customer-oriented organisation and understands the problems when a motor fails.
We have been impressed with the efforts they will make to source a suitable motor whenever the need arises".
Transdrive is very much a technical stockist and its trained staff of 19 specialises in engineering solutions for individual applications.
It backs up the 'off-the-shelf' availability with a choice of delivery methods, including a same day service using couriers or its own transport for local deliveries.
Ashley Galloway, Commercial Manager at Leroy Somer, is equally enthusiastic about the agreement, "We are delighted to have Transdrive as our northern stockist.
We have an established relationship and continue to be impressed with its technical knowledge and professional approach to business." Transdrive was established in 1982 and has rapidly expanded over recent years to become one of the UK's leading independent specialist distributors of variable speed drives, motors, clutches and brakes, geared motors and servo systems.
There is also a specialist division that designs and builds custom control panels.
