Variable speed drive is flexible solution
Leroy-Somer has enhanced its Digidrive SK range to include the power range 0.25-132kW and is available with normal or heavy-duty rating.
Leroy-Somer has extended the power of its compact and economical Digidrive SK range of variable speed drives up to 132kW.
As an easy to use, modular electronic solution, whatever the required function level, the Digidrive SK range meets user's needs perfectly.
Now covering the power range from 0.25-132kW, the Digidrive SK range is available with Normal or Heavy-duty rating, and with operating voltages of 110, 240, 400, 575 and 690V.
The Digidrive SK is ideal for applications such as handling (particularly conveyors), packaging and packing, food processing, pumping, ventilation, stirring and winding/unwinding.
Moreover, thanks to its performance in open loop vector control mode and to its advanced brake control, the Digidrive SK is perfect for hoisting applications and any application requiring high torque at the motor shaft.
Combining simplicity of purpose with sophistication of design, the market-leading Digidrive SK is easy to set up, providing typical applications on its front fascia.
LED or LCD type display units, which can be remotely located up to 30m away, are also available with local control functions.
Its innovative and compact design makes it one of the smallest drives in its category.
Up to 1.5kW, it can be fixed directly on to a DIN rail or with screws using the predrilled holes.
Wiring is easy, with plenty of space around its terminal blocks.
The control connectors have flexible blades.
Digidrive SK's factory-set configuration has been optimised to allow instantaneous commissioning in most situations.
The Digidrive SK can also cut the overall cost of the installation thanks to numerous built-in functions, including: logic functions, comparators, motorised potentiometer and PID regulator.
Real-time clock, preset speed scan timer and control of an external encoder are available through add-on modules.
The innovative Logicstick (programming key) makes it possible to insert a made-to-measure automation program or a standard application program (for example: pumping management).
For simple communication via a serial link cable, operator dialogue, or control via a fieldbus, the Digidrive SK can handle any type of request.
All major fieldbus communications are supported through add-on modules, with additional I/O also available through other add-on modules.
Digidrive SK enables operator dialogue, and integration within an existing communication network.
