The 3D-id process with Lexicraft process is traditionally found on corporate identification products, such as badges labels and identification plates

Lexicraft Limited have launched 3D-id, a fully automated resin dome system that can be used to enhance the key location and tactile feedback on front panels, keypads and membrane switch panels The 3D-id process with Lexicraft process is traditionally found on corporate identification products, such as badges labels and identification plates, now with this innovation from Lexicraft, designers have the ability to enhance membrane panels and other data acquisition control panel fronts with the option to give a fresh new tactile feedback at a low cost with no tooling cost

Embossing of polyester for key location on man machine interface overlays produced with polyester or polycarbonate have been limited to the pillow, dome or rim emboss alternatives available using cam-shell platens and similar machinery - squeezing the sheet between a male and female die until the sheet deformed .

With 3D-id Lexicraft offer a soft feel solution with the possibility of a raised dome of up to 4mm height.

As well as the tactile benefits which the user enjoys, there is no hard tooling, the sheet does not need to be formed and there is no possibility for miss-alignment of the embossing die.

In addition other area of the panel can be 'highlighted' to allow the company logo to be enhanced for example.
