LGC Reinforces Its Footprint In Poland

Over 450 ULTRA Scientific inorganic reference standards are now available for immediate delivery to European end users from LGC Promochem.

In addition, the two partners will jointly bid for EU and other funding for research and development programmes.
The agreement also includes provision for exchange visits and training for IPO scientists.
Commenting on the deal, Dr Ray Ah-Sun, LGC's Director of Business Development, said: "This collaboration agreement is the natural extension of a successful relationship going back over 20 years.
LGC selected IPO as a supplier because of its reputation as a centre of excellence for research in the field of pesticides.
LGC has witnessed a growing demand by industrial and academic laboratories for such impurities for use as reference standards, as the public and regulatory authorities demand more research into these impurities." The second agreement is a five-year distribution agreement, strengthening the existing relationship between LGC and IPO, under which IPO has supplied reference materials to LGC for distribution outside Poland.
With immediate effect, LGC Promochem becomes the worldwide exclusive distributor for IPO reference materials, except in Poland where IPO will be a co-distributor.
Dr Karol Buchalik, Director of IPO, said: We are delighted and proud to sign these agreements with a prestigious science company like LGC.
We have watched the transformation of LGC from a government institute like IPO into a successful commercial organisation.
At IPO, we also have high ambitions, particularly with Poland joining the EU soon.
We are convinced that the collaboration with LGC will help our scientific development and our commercial awareness." The two agreements represent win-win deals for LGC and IPO.
Both parties expect the alliance to announce further similar collaborations in the future.
