Phytochemical Reference Standards Now Available
Over 2500 high purity ChromaDex phytochemical - or herbal - reference standards are now available exclusively from LGC Promochem throughout Europe.
Data obtained from analytical instruments, such as fluorometers and luminometers, is amongst the most widely used in bioanalytical research and diagnostics.
The Glowell standards - traceable to standards at the UK National Physical Laboratory - will, for the first time, make it possible to compare data accurately between instruments and between laboratories.
For organisations with operations spread across a number of different sites, or even countries, the Glowell standards offer the potential to improve significantly the quality and comparability of their experimental data.

Elizabeth Jordain, General Manager at LGC Promochem, said: "At LGC Promochem we are committed to providing the best possible service to our customers across Europe and are therefore delighted to have reached this agreement with LUX Biotechnology.
The Glowell range of products have a huge potential in a number of different markets, but particularly in the pharmaceutical and drug development sectors where data comparison between inter-site research or diagnostics projects has always been a concern.
For the first time, those directing research in these crucial areas will be able to compare cross-site data and make accurate and reliable decisions based on data generated in different locations." Artin Moussavi, Chief Executive at LUX Biotechnology commented: "We are very pleased and excited to be working with LGC Promochem.
Our experience in the luminescence market, coupled with the extensive marketing and commercial support of LGC Promochem, will strengthen our presence in the vibrant European and Indian markets.
Our agreement with LGC Promochem is an important step in our effort to broaden LUX's product availability.
Customers will benefit from the proximity to their local LGC Promochem specialist and their local sales representatives." Unlike other standards on the market, the product emits a constant, chemically generated light output, and comes in a format that allows it to be easily inserted into a 96 or 384 microtitre plate or standard PCR plate.
The Glowell standards can be used in conjunction with other biological controls, require no external power source and are available in a variety of intensities and wavelengths.
The Glowell range also offers a low light imaging standard range of products which have applications for customers working with CCD cameras.
