A motion controls company is demonstrating Sony SmartCam running Scorpion Vision Software on the Windows XP embedded platform and uses a robot to manipulate a scanning camera.

A motion controls company is demonstrating Sony SmartCam running Scorpion Vision Software on the Windows XP embedded platform and uses a robot to manipulate a scanning camera LG Motion, a motion controls company is demonstrating the integrated SmartCam and RoboKid small footprint, X and Y robot on their stand D39 at Drives and Controls 2006 at the NEC this week (16-18 May, 2006)

The demonstration shows the new Sony SmartCam running Scorpion Vision Software on the Windows XP embedded platform.

The camera is interfaced to the robot via a serial link and this enables the Scorpion vision software to command the robot, moving the camera from point to point across the surface of the inspected object, which in this case is two PCBs.

But possible applications are immense and this system can benefit many industries - food, packaging, pharmaceutical, electronics, aerospace, etc This is a rare opportunity to see this unique product, which combines three major components: * Sony SmartCam.

* Sony RoboKids.

* Scorpion Vision Software.
