The Weld Manager software from The Lincoln Electric Company is an ideal tool to help manage the company's 'Power Wave' systems easily from a computer or a Palm handheld.

The new Weld Manager software from The Lincoln Electric Company is an ideal tool to help manage the company's Power Wave Systems easily from a computer or a Palm handheld.

Set-up and configuration is easier than ever.

Similar to Lincoln's Weld Manager for a Handheld (Palm OS), the Weld Manager for PC has a user-friendly, menu-style selection that offers flexibility and choices for customising Lincoln Electric welding systems and monitoring arc time for tracking plant productivity.

Weld Manager's user interface set-up feature provides a convenient method for configuring the Lincoln Power Feed wire feeder user interface with true/false options, pull-down selections, and numeric entry.

The security option allows users to lock-down certain functions on a portion of the Power Feed panel or the entire display and enable password security to ensure that settings stay set.

The software reduces set-up time by providing the ability to backup the system configuration.

It also allows fabricators to restore those settings to multiple weld cells.

A serial cable or Ethernet cable can be used to connect your laptop to the Lincoln Power Wave welding system for use with Weld Manager.

PC hardware requirements include: * 64MB system RAM.

* 300MHz Processor.

* 800 x 600 display resolution with 256 colors or higher.

* Approximately 1MB additional disk space needed for saving files.

* Connection to a Lincoln Electric Power Wave or compatible machine through a serial (RS-232) cable or Ethernet network.

The software may be run within any of the following versions of Microsoft Windows: Windows NT Service Pack 6, Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

The software is provided free with the purchase of a Power Feed 10M Bench or Boom model semi-automatic wire feeder or with the purchase of the Power Feed 10A, the user interface for the Power Wave AC/DC 1000 submerged arc welding system.

* About Lincoln Electric - Lincoln Electric is the world leader in the design, development and manufacture of arc welding products, robotic arc-welding systems, plasma and oxyfuel cutting equipment.
