Robotic welding cell benefits students
Robotic welding cell has proven to be a valuable part of welding and automation programmes at Arizona State University's College of Technology and Applied Science.
Arizona State University's College of Technology and Applied Science sought to implement robotic welding into the school's curriculum in order to prepare students for professional and technologically focused careers needed in the community and the 21st century.
Jerry Gintz, senior lecturer in the university's Department of MMET said, "Using Lincoln Electric's e-Cell robotic welding cell has proven to be a valuable part of our welding and automation programmes.
MMET is currently leading the polytechnic campus in enrollments, so I expect to escalate as we expand our offerings.
In addition, with industry training ramping up, I expect to see greater interest in the eCell and robotic welding as more manufacturing companies attend our workforce development programmes." The Lincoln Electric Company, headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, is the world leader in the design, development and manufacture of arc welding products, robotic, arc welding systems, fume extraction equipment, plasma-arc and oxyfuel cutting equipment and has a leading global position in the brazing and soldering alloys market.
