Updated AC/DC TIG units have better arc
starts
Lincoln has updated its Invertec AC/DC TIG power sources with added circuitry for improved TIG arc starting and larger AC TIG start power range to prolong tungsten electrode life.
The Lincoln Electric Company, USA, has expanded its Invertec line of welding power sources with the upgrade of its Invertec V205-T AC/DC TIG welder and the V205-T DC unit The Invertec V205-T AC/DC unit is a compact TIG power source for critical AC or DC TIG welding

Power source is true multi-process welding unit
Multi-process arc welding power source supports MMA, TIG, MIG and flux-cored GMAW as well as advanced processes like pulsed MIG, 'Pulse-on-Pulse' and 'Power Mode'.
Generator set offers smooth arc welding
Housed in a compact, corrosion-resistant SS case, a 300A welding generator set has 'Chopper Technology' to deliver efficient starts and a smooth arc for general welding.
Updates include added circuitry in the stick crisp mode for excellent 6010 electrode welding performance (MMA), and improved TIG arc starting.
features also include selectable start polarity, adjustable TIG strike current and widened AC TIG start power range for minimizing tungsten erosion.
The unit also has redesigned power electronics for improved reliability and a 'Voltage Reduction Device' (VRD).
Lincoln said that its Invertec V205-T AC/DC is the only welder in this power range to offer selectable wave shapes to specifically adapt the arc performance to the welding application.
Operators can choose the following characteristics.
* A square wave shape for fast travel speeds and excellent weld puddle control.
* A sine wave for a traditional softer sounding arc.
* A triangular wave at low amperages to reduce the heat input into the weld.
The new Invertec V205-T DC has the same added features as the Invertec V205-T AC/DC.
The inverter can be used in a variety of jobs such as maintenance, production fabrication, motorsports, aerospace, nuclear piping and shipbuilding.
The Invertec V205-T DC offers the highest output rating in its machine class, said Lincoln.
It is rated at 200A at 40% duty cycle.
It also automatically reconnects for single phase 115/230V 50/60Hz input, which allows the flexibility to weld in the shop or take on site where 230V supply may not be available.
Additionally, both machines weigh in at a mere 37lb (33kg), so operators can carry them around a fabrication shop or job site.
Lincoln's standard three-year warranty on parts and labor is offered on both units.
