Handling/lifting supplier adds on machine shop
Supplier of lifting, handling and cranage equipment has added on its own machine shop to produce its own pins, bushes, pulleys, gear blanks and pinion shafts.
It has a worldwide presence and distribution network covering all continents.
Lifting Solutions will now be one of only a handful of UK distributors of the full Verlinde range.
One of the most important outcomes of the deal is Lifting Solutions' ability to now offer a full crane service - from design to manufacture and installation, right through to training, maintenance and repairs.
Jonathan Moorhouse, managing director of Lifting Solutions, says: "This significant partnership with Verlinde gives Lifting Solutions the capability to offer an end-to-end crane manufacturing solution backed up by the technical and marketing resources of one of the world's leading brand names.
"It is a major development which makes us one of only a few companies in the UK able to offer the whole Verlinde range.
"We were delighted to be selected by Verlinde based on our engineering competence and impressive track record, which includes recent high-profile projects such as Portsmouth's Spinnaker Tower and three separate Olympic contracts".
This is the latest positive market development for Lifting Solutions.
The company is in the process of securing additional new premises as it has outgrown its current facility and needs extra workshop and office space to meet the growing demand from customers.
