Huber Polystats add to Lab-plant range
The latest Polystat technology available from Lab-plant bring a unique dimension of flexibility and functionality to the laboratory as they can be moved between machines on a"plug and play" basis.
Despite costing around half the price of any other comparable unit currently on the market and its entry-level designation, the Lab-Plant SD-Basic is supplied with a complete glassware set.
This includes the main drying chamber, cyclone, sample and waste collection bottles plus all the necessary clamps, seals and tubing.
Requiring only an external supply of compressed air, the bench-top unit is fully self contained and ready for immediate operation.

Oil Bath Performance Without The Oil
The latest product from UK laboratory equipment manufacturer Lab-Plant could signal the end of the road for the oil bath and its associated mess and safety issues.
With laboratory efficiency and operating procedures in mind, clamps and fittings are designed to allow rapid assembly and removal of the glassware components whilst a filter on the air inlet ensures that the drying air is free of contaminants.
Designed to the same principles as higher models in the range, the SD-Basic uses the drying methodology employed in industrial processes - a blown air system rather than the traditional suction method.
This allows dry air to be used throughout the process and removes the requirement for constant filter maintenance and cleaning.
As a result the unit is extremely efficient and negates the necessity of additional grinding and filtering processes after drying.
The LabPlant blown air system has been successfully proven in processing materials including food, drink, polymers and resins as well as ceramics, adhesives, detergents and dyestuffs.
All functions on the SD-Basic are simple to select and adjust so that optimum spray drying conditions can be achieved as quickly as possible.
The inlet temperature is selected and maintained by a digital controller whilst a rotary control regulates pump speed.
A digital display of outlet temperature is also included as a standard feature.
With its roots in scientific glassblowing, Lab-Plant has a 30 year history in the supply of laboratory and scale-up chemistry equipment including distillation, evaporation and drying apparatus, to the chemical, pharmaceutical, food and other industries worldwide.
The company's success is based on a customer focused approach with strong technical back-up to support its comprehensive ranges of bench-top and capital equipment.
