NEXYGEN Materials Testing Software Leads the way

A Lloyd Instruments product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Jan 7, 2003

Lloyd Instruments, specialists in materials testing, has announced the worldwide launch of NEXYGEN MT v4.5 materials testing software.

New NEXYGEN MT Materials Testing Software Leads the Way Lloyd Instruments, specialists in materials testing, is pleased to announce the worldwide launch of NEXYGEN MT v4.5 materials testing software.

Like its predecessor, this powerful Windows based program holds a vast library of international standard tests for a wide range of quality applications.

However the primary features of this new version include powerful security and data audit tracking, video capture and playback and extended instrument interfaces.

NEXYGEN MT v4.5 is used to control the company's 'Plus', EZ and LR universal testing machine ranges and supports the comprehensive range of CHATILLON digital force gauges available.

The powerful new security features, developed with medical and pharmaceutical industries in mind, will benefit all industries.

The supervisor can set the desired level of access for operators, who must login at all times, and safeguards have been introduced to prevent the unauthorised use of passwords.

The software now records details of all logins and logouts, and when each test is created, changed, deleted or aborted.

These powerful audit trails are time stamped to provide an accurate history of data.

Automatic saving and archiving ensures no data is ever lost, and report print outs now include the date, time, user ID, system ID, location ID or other supervisor defined parameter.

Video capture and playback is ideal for training and research.

Here, users can video record live tests in action then play them back simultaneously during results analysis, making it a powerful visual aid.

Other benefits include a new clear integrated HTML help system, improved test set-ups (particularly for metals tests), machine stiffness compensation on certain machines for enhanced data accuracy, and new reporting and exporting features.

For users of LabVIEW platforms (from National Instruments), flexible materials testing control functions are now only a fingertip away with the company's newly developed interface driver fully incorporated.

Interface support is also provided for the new Mitutoyo, Mettler Balance and Heidenhain gauges.

Across the world, NEXYGEN MT has achieved repute with QC, production, research and training environments for a wide range of industries such as plastics, rubber, packaging, metals, electronics, paper, textiles, food, biomaterials, adhesives and more.

Like previous versions, the performance, flexibility and ease of use means Version 4.5 benefits new and experienced users, and is available in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Danish and simplified Chinese languages.

NEXYGEN MT v4.5 has been developed by Lloyd Instruments, based in Fareham, Hampshire, UK.

Lloyd Instruments, together with CHATILLON and DAVENPORT, are part of the AMETEK Material Test Business Unit headquartered in Largo, Florida USA.
