The complex design of power steering pumps makes strength testing a real challenge.

Developed especially for a leading vehicle component manufacturer, the Motor Can Pull Off Fixture is believed to be the first dedicated testing solution of its kind.

It is used to test the sealing weld strength of power steering pump casings at tensile forces up to 2.5kN on machines such as the company's LRXPlus.

High precision engineering ensures this grip achieves accurate test results.

It features a robust base plate for firm fitting on a test machine, and a special grip design that clamps the pump casing securely during testing.

Ease of use also ensures fast, efficient testing for minimum downtime.

Flexible instrument control comes from the company's Nexygen MT software.

This IS0 TickIT accredited data analysis software is acclaimed for its vast test library and flexible user interface.

Key features on the latest upgrade include: strict multilevel user security and data audit trails for total traceability, video capture and playback (for training and additional analysis purposes), integrated LabVIEW platform drivers, help sections and more.

Also in the range is the Terminal Weld Pull Off Fixture to test the strength of electrical terminal welds on power steering pump motors.

Both systems emphasise not only Lloyd Instruments' true dedication to the automotive industry, but also an ability to custom design solutions according to the exact specification on a customer application.
