Materials testing specialist, Lloyd Instruments, has declared the K 2004 show in Dusseldorf, Germany, a resounding success with a large increase in total visitors to its stand.

Managing Director, David Greer, said: "We were extremely busy on every day of the show.

We had visitors representing 77 countries and received more enquiries than from any other show we have ever attended.

UK visitors numbered among the top 5 country groups to our stand and we have come away with many more really good quality enquiries than we received at K 2001".

The comprehensive display of seven LFPlus single column universal testing machines and the companys Nexygen MT materials testing software attracted a huge amount of interest.

Visitors were able to appreciate the capabilities of the instrument for a wide range of materials testing and force measurement applications up to 1 kN (225 lbf), all possible on the same machine.

Greer went on to say: "Some visitors wanted to test raw materials whilst others were testing the integrety of the finished product, but many wanted to be able to test right the way through the whole manufacturing cycle.

The LFPlus is able to satisfy all these needs.

There are just so many applications for materials testers in the plastics and packaging industry that versatility and automation are absolutely essential".

Visitors' demands for this versatility were satisfied not just from the performance of the basic instrument, but also from the enormous range of grips and fixtures available for different applications and company's highly acclaimed Nexygen MT materials testing control software which features a vast library of international standard tests.

Nexygensoftware can be used for data analysis and to control the 'Plus' Series of instruments and also the EZ and LR Series of universal testing machines, the Davenport MFI-10 Melt Flow Indexer and HDT/VICATPlus thermoplastic testing system.

It also supports the comprehensive range of Chatillon digital force gauges.

The powerful LR10KPlus twin column universal testing machine with 10kN force capacity proved to be very popular with visitors having higher force applications, due to its ability to test a wide range of materials under differing environmental conditions.

"We believe that the increased interest in all the products on our stand, including the Davenport MFI-10 Melt Flow Indexer for automated melt flow and melt volume rate polymer testing, is a direct result of the growing reputation in the marketplace of the quality and capability of our products", concluded Greer "That would certainly help to explain our higher visitor numbers".
