Specialist alloys are 100% tensile tested
A Lloyd Instruments EZ50 50 kN twin column universal materials testing machine has NEXYGEN MT control and data analysis software giving a vast library of international standard tests.
Also on show will be a high force LS100Plus materials testing machine and an LRXPlus low force single column instrument equipped with an EX800Plus long travel extensometer.
All machines can perform tests such as tensile and flexure strength, compression, puncture strength and more.
Other instruments from the Davenport range include the MFI-10 automatic melt flow indexer with auto flow rate timer, MV melt viscometer for solvent-free measurement of melt viscosity (MV) and intrinsic viscosity (IV) of PET, and the HDT/Vicat measurement instrument.

A carton erection testing system for the packaging industry measures the force required for erecting a carton from flat, folded carton blanks.
The FTPlus is a dedicated, high accuracy, bench-mounted single lead screw friction tester, which conforms to the requirements of the key friction testing standards, ASTM D1894, ISO 8295 and TAPPI T549.
The FTPlus can be used for measurements of static and kinetic coefficients of friction, peak load and average load.
The extensive capabilities of NexygenPlus software include test creation, data collection, reporting and exporting test data, video and still picture capture, test data security and audit trails, and test automation and customisation.
NexygenPlus can be used with any of the 11 instruments from the 'Plus' range of material testing machines for testing up to 150 kN.
The LS100Plus and LRXPlus machines provide versatile materials testing capabilities at forces up to 100 kN, and 5 kN respectively.
The LS100Plus can be used for testing large components such as plastic pipes and plastic drums.
The LRXPlus will be fitted with an EX800Plus contacting extensometer for the accurate extension measurement of materials such as semi-rigid plastics, elastomers and rubbers.
It can be used to test high elongation materials to yield and break in full accordance with ISO 9513: 2002.
The Davenport MFI-10 melt flow indexer is an intelligent modular system, which allows fully automatic measurement of the melt flow rate of a polymer.
It can be used both by resin manufacturers and processors such as extruders and injection moulders to measure the melt flow rate and melt volume rate of thermoplastics before use in the manufacturing process.
The MV melt viscometer offers significant cost and environmental benefits for Pet testing.
The Davenport HDT/VicatPlus instrument is used to test plastic material for HDT (Heat Distortion Temperature) and Vicat, a measure of the temperature at which plastic starts to soften rapidly.
With six independent test stations, the instrument now features an improved design to further enhance protection for operators from possible exposure to the heating oil used in the system.
