A compact system for filling and capping tablet bottles of all sizes without the need for any change parts is available from Logic TPS

Built by Swiss manufacturer Zellweg, the basic semi-automatic line uses a walking beam system to transport the bottles and is equipped with an electronic tablet counting unit from Collischan, plus a screw or press capper The beam can simply be moved in or out manually to accommodate different diameters and containers can be fed and removed manually

The line can be further automated with the addition of a bottle unscrambler and take-off conveyor.

With an operating speed of 30 to 35 containers a minute this highly flexible line is ideal for clinical trial operations as well as for contract packers handling a wide range of different products.

It is also very compact at under 3 metres in length, enabling it to be accommodated in production areas where space is at a premium.

In addition to the tablet counting unit the line can be equipped with a powder or liquid filler or combinations of filling systems.

Keith Gooch, Managing Director of Logic TPS says, "The Zellweg line is not only very compact, it is extremely price competitive when compared to other systems providing a similar output".

"The fact that it can be changed from one size to another in under 2 minutes, without the need for change parts also means production time is maximised.".
