20,000 3D profiles per second possible
Sick IVP has released a new series of the Ranger vision camera's capable of acquiring 20,000 3D profiles per second.
Running at 90 fps at 640x480, this camera provides unparalleled performance in an economically priced machine vision camera.
The EC650 is shipping to customers now and will be on display at the Vision 2005 show next week together with Prosilica's GE-Series Gigabit Ethernet cameras (GigE Vision).
The EC650 incorporates a top quality CCD sensor and achieves high sensitivity and low dark current through the use of Sony's HAD (hole accumulation diode) technology.
Its snapshot shutter makes it possible to capture full-frame, stop-action images without a mechanical shutter.
Running at 90 fps, the EC650 is the fastest CCD firewire camera in its class.
The EC650 also includes the full range of features that distinguish Prosilica's other cameras in the market.
The EC650 is available in monochrome and colour models.
Applications for the EC650 CCD camera are very diverse including, factory automation, industrial inspection, computer vision, traffic and public security, aerospace and aeronautical imaging, robotic vision, data matrix reading, ophthalmology, and much more.
The very small size, rugged housing, and high-performance make it useful in a very wide range of applications.
"This camera offers the highest frame rates of any CCD camera of its type", said Marty Furse, CEO of Prosilica.
"Prosilica's EC650 cameras are smaller, faster, and higher performance than any other standard resolution CCD firewire camera known to us.
This level of quality and price/performance is unrivalled." Here is what a customer said of Prosilica's cameras, "I've looked at a lot of cameras and have not seen any that are as good as these.
We are very happy with the cameras." The release of the EC650 CCD camera and its cousin, the 1/2" format EC655, further expand Prosilica's impressive line of industrial firewire cameras.
The EC650 will be shown together with Prosilica's new GE-Series Gigabit Ethernet cameras (GigE Vision) which are being introduced at the Vision 2005 show in Stuttgart next week. Request a free brochure from Lambda Photometrics ...
