LMT distributes hardmetal rods

LMT (UK) has announced that a range of submicron and ultra-fine grain hardmetal rods and blanks produced at LMT's Boehlerit division in Austria is now available.

The company also offers a bespoke design and hardmetal manufacture service in addition to its standard product range, which is qualified as homogenous and porosity-free and having cobalt contents between 6-15 per cent.

As part of the standard portfolio, ground sintered rods between 6-20mm outside diameter by 330mm long are available with two or three spiral holes or two straight holes in diameters between 6-25mm.

The company also manufactures gundrill format rods between 8-19mm by 310mm long with two straight coolant feed holes.

There is also a range of sintered round rods between 6-25mm, an as-sintered rod between 2.2-40mm diameter and ground-sintered rods between 2-40mm diameter.

Solid carbide rods in the 'Ultra-fine' range between 3-25mm diameter are also available.
