LMT to display knurling rolling heads at AMT

A LMT Fette product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Sep 17, 2008

LMT will present special knurling rolling heads at the AMT fair, for producing tapered knurlings such as those required in windshield wiper drive units and window drive units.

This will cut production costs in the automotive industry and for its suppliers.

Milling times of less than one second per knurling, extremely long tool life and high process security make these rolling heads suited to mass production.

The rolling head is stable, demonstrating a high resistance to wear and tear.

Another advantage is the tool's easy handling: users can easily adjust the diameter and length when production changes.

The setup does not shift during machining, ensuring a high level of process security.

The LMT range includes the KR-8 knurling rolling heads for knurlings of size A2-8xM6-36, KR-10 for knurlings of A2-10xM8-41 and KR-12 for knurlings of A2-12xM8-37.
