Robust SS actuators resist strong detergents

Linak UK has introduced a range of robust, stainless steel (SS) actuators to operate in harsh environments and where cleanliness is paramount.

Linak told manufacturingtalk that they are easy to install and are maintenance free.

The SS actuators give smooth and controlled linear motion with thrusts up to 12,000N and have a maximum stroke length of 999mm.

An optional in-built feedback provides additional safety with accurate positioning of the actuator.

Linak added that the actuators are clean and safe in operation without any risk or air or hydraulic leaks and contamination.

* Actuator resists heavy washdowns - Linak also offers the midsized electric linear LA35 actuator.

It is a smaller version of Linak's highly rated LA36 and operates in extremely harsh conditions.

The LA35 has a high IP66/IP69k static rating, so it can be washed down using high pressure jet washers.

Working temperature range is -10 deg C to +50 deg C.

The LA35 has a heavy duty aluminium housing and advanced shaft sealing, said Linak.

Built-in, non-contact, limit switches and advanced feedback options, either analogue or absolute feedback, give precise control over a long life.

Optional advanced feedback systems and SS options are also available.

The LA35 also features exchangeable cables and is available in 12V or 24V, developing a thrust of 600N with a stroke length of 600mm.

Linak also produces its Techline range of electric linear actuators, which have been successfully used in countless industrial applications, said the company.
