Safety fastenings are self-locking
Safety assembly fittings have a self-locking capability that ensures complete assembly reliability, which has been confirmed through vibration loosening tests conducted by CETIM.
Specializing in safety assembly fittings, the Lanfranco company manufactures and distributes a complete range of self-locking nuts and modular fittings for the railway, military, public works and energy sectors The company is now introducing the star products of its line, the ESL, ERM and HCE nuts and locking strips

Flexible robotic welding cell takes larger pieces
A new modular, flexible robotic arc welding system is designed to accommodate larger workpieces, which can be welded in a fixed position.
Their self-locking capability ensures complete assembly reliability that has been confirmed through vibration loosening tests conducted by CETIM, France's Mechanical Engineering Technical Center.
Unlike other self-locking nuts on the market, Lanfranco nuts can be reused up to 25 times.
They provide strong resistance to vibration and ensure high-security fitting, in particular for the railroad sector.

Self-clinching nut is 40% closer in thin metal
Now there is a self-clinching nut that can be installed in thin steel sheet down to 0.63mm and it can be mounted up to 40% closer to the edge of sheet metal than existing clinch nuts.
PEM panel fastener solves mating hole misalignment
PEM floating panel fastener compensates for mating hole misalignment up to 1.52mm and can be installed into any type of panel material and allows for radial float in an assembly.
Lanfranco recommends the ESL nut for both standard and safety assemblies.
The self-locking system used consists of compressing the sides of several screw threads in two zones.
ESL nuts are especially used in the railroad sector for fixing parts under the chassis (compressors, transformers, air-conditioning units, cabinets for various equipment), as well as for bolting shock absorbers, traction motors, pantograph strips and brakes.
ERM nuts use the same self-locking system as the ESL but also have an integrated conical washer that maintains tension in the assembly.
These nuts are used for all standard and safety assembly jobs that require parts to remain stressed.
They are recommended for electrical connections (shunts), assemblies of several superposed items and flexible materials such as composites and elastomers.
- HCE nuts are most commonly used for standard and safety assemblies with several nuts and whose cost must be controlled.
For example, in the railroad sector, HCE nuts are ideal for rail laying.
The self-locking system used for them entails the compression of one or two threads in a zone.
Lanfranco's locking strips are multi-point self-locking fittings that are positioned in a section with specific centre distances (defined by the client) and provide lateral freedom of movement.
These modular assembly fittings are generally used to connect several locating points for one piece in a single operation without the need to respect precise centre distances or counter-drilling.
The locking nuts offer excellent resistance to temperature depending on the protective coating chosen.
They can be made of different materials including carbon and alloy steels, stainless steel, nonferrous metals and titanium, and can be tapped according to standards such as ISO, inch and gas thread.
The fittings can be supplied with numerous types of corrosion proof, anti-seizing or even aesthetic coatings.
The self-locking torque of these nuts conforms to the NFEN ISO 2320 standard for steel and NFE 25035 for stainless steel.
About Lanfranco - with its various subsidiaries and production units in France, Canada, and Spain, its main facility covering over 32,000ft2 in the heart of France, Lanfranco produces high quality fittings meeting the demanding requirements of its clients.
