Lawcris Panel Products has purchased 11 new trucks, ranging in size from 7.5 to 27 tonnes at a cost of more than GBP600,000.

As it marks 25 years in business this year, Lawcris Panel Products has invested GBP638,000 to expand its logistics and transport services.

Eleven new delivery vehicles have been added to the company's fleet, bringing the total number of vehicles to over 30.

The new trucks will all sport Lawcris' 25 year logo as well as the company's distinctive silver curtain livery.

Most of the new fleet additions range in size from 7.5 to 27 tonnes.

However, the company has also been trialling the viability of 44 tonne vehicles and, as a result, is about to add a second artic to its fleet.

Hal Eccles, marketing manager at Lawcris says, "With our strong customer focus we recognise the demand for just in time delivery which, as our territories continue to expand, is of paramount importance to our overall service.

Lawcris has built its reputation on the reliability and quality of our delivery service and this on-going investment will ensure that we remain ahead of the game".

Complementing its expanding delivery fleet, Lawcris has also up-dated its logistics with the acquisition of an additional 18 forklift trucks.

These also play a vital role in the company's next day delivery service, handling an average of 400 tonnes of materials every day.

"We are committed to customer service which is reflected in our latest investment in transport and logistics," adds Simon Hall, Lawcris' managing director.

"In a highly competitive marketplace, attention to detail such as delivery can make the difference between winning and losing orders.

On-going investment at this level is vital if we are to maintain our market leading position".
