Swarf conveyor business turnover doubled
Manufacturer of custom swarf conveyors reports that turnover doubled in 2003, says it has 40% of UK market share and is intent on expanding business further.

The UK facility was purpose built five years ago.
The competitively priced Turbo range of swarf conveyors are designed and manufactured on the premises and from there delivered to customers throughout the UK and Europe.
Conveyors are tailored for each application, giving the customer the ideal solution to specific swarf removal requirements.
A choice of magnetic, scraper and hinge belt conveyors are offered for standard, heavy duty and super heavy duty each offered with a choice of belts including plain, dimpled, perforated, double perforated and dimpled/perforated.
Integrated swarf management systems for entire machine shops can be designed and built to customer requirement at the Barnsley site.
The plant is fully equipped with the latest laser profiling, CNC bending, robot welding and automated press equipment and is managed by a sophisticated MRP system which controls production from receipt of order through to delivery.
The extensive range of Turbo swarf conveyors - there are over 5,000 standard designs available currently - is complemented by the company's range of high pressure filtration units and the LNS bar feeders.
"We aim to provide the customer with what he wants at a price he can afford to pay" Duckmanton said.
"It is easy to pay lip service to that, but the substantial and constant increase in our sales suggests that we meet those criteria on a daily basis.
We have achieved our present position by increasing market penetration and market share, in itself a reflection of customer satisfaction.
We expect to see a continuing increase in sales of our swarf conveyors and also the bar feeders during the next twelve months which will continue the present trend, but we also foresee a further increase because of our ability to provide up to 12 hours of unmanned working from a lathe".
