An optional sheet metal software module designed to define parametric geometries can easily turn an existing geometry into a parametric part by assigning as many variables as the user wants.

New features have been developed by Lantek in Version 23.50 These are the most significant improvements: Parametric CAD - this is an optional module specifically designed to define parametric geometries in our existing CAD module, with the following options: * Possibility to easily turn an existing geometry into a parametric part by assigning as many variables as the user wants

* Possibility to modify the dimensions of parts by directly entering the desired values into the defined variables.

Possibility to rotate remnants - all existing remnants can be rotated at steps of 90deg with respect to the X and Y axis.

This can also be done symmetrically.

True Shape Nesting that guarantess a predefined material utilization percentage This new feature increases material utilization by optimizing the nesting process.

The system optimizes the reasonable use of the necessary sheet formats.

Configurability of the method to calculate part areas in order to improve material utilization The existing methods are: * Net : the sum of the real (net) area of the parts.

* Gross : the sum of the gross area of the parts.

* Rectangular: the sum of the area of the minimum rectangle that surrounds the geometry of a part.

Configurability of the main direction of nesting - now the system allows the user to choose between a vertical or an horizontal direction for the nesting of parts.
