New MD set to develop Linx growth

A Linx Printing Technologies product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Feb 19, 2007

Linx Printing Technologies has appointed Mark Verheyden as its new Managing Director, with a view to further developing the company's strong position in the coding and marking industry

The appointment of Mark continues the strong progress made since Linx became part of the Danaher Corporation in 2005, a period which has seen substantial investment and a growth rate three times that of its competitors.

"I inherit a company that has the best of both worlds, "comments Mark Verheyden.

"It has the backing and resources of a large corporation, but remains independently-run so as to better harness the expertise and creativity of its exceptional staff," comments Mark Verheyden.

"The Linx name is synonymous with innovation, quality and service, and I intend to maintain a forward-thinking philosophy that looks to expand into new technologies to further develop Linx's product portfolio," he adds.

Mark most recently served as Vice President, Marketing for Accu-Sort, a bar-code scanning business that is also part of the Danaher Corporation.

He was instrumental in defining company strategy and executing "go to market" strategies, which resulted in the launch of three important products during Mark's last year with the company.

Prior to that he was Vice President of Business Development for Danaher's Product Identification platform.

Before joining Danaher, Mark developed extensive experience in strategy and operations consulting at the Boston Consulting Group, and led RandD, pricing, test and joint venture negotiations for Faurecia (formerly Bertand Faure) in the automotive industry.

His management expertise is matched by considerable technical knowledge, as he began his career as a software engineer for Nippon Seiko.

Mark, who is from Canada, has degrees in System Engineering and Economics, earned an MBA from Columbia University in New York City, and has also studied at the Sorbonne in Paris.

He has relocated to the St Ives area with wife Lianne and their three children, and will be located at Linx's St Ives' headquarters.

Mark replaces Henk van Duijnhoven, who has been promoted to Vice President of Human Resources for Danaher.
