High-spec scaffolding sees rise in sales

A Lobo Systems product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Feb 10, 2005

Lobo Systems has won orders from some of America's best known companies - including Boeing, Ford, General Motors and NASA - for its versatile specialist scaffolding.

Lobo Systems, which describes itself as the producer of the world's most sophisticated scaffolding system, has won orders from some of America's best known companies including Boeing, Ford, General Motors and NASA.

The Lobo scaffolding system provides access to virtually any piece of ground-based equipment without the use of tools.

It is made up of trestle legs that vary in size, with adjustable side bracing clamps.

These are joined together to provide a configuration that will reach anything from a space rocket or an aircraft nose-cone to a factory roof.

The Lobo product has the flexibility and strength of traditional scaffolding with the simplicity and mobility of tower systems.

This combination, which is said to be unique, provides the ultimate access system that can be utilised across manufacturing and process industries.

Robert Bokros, managing director of Lobo, has recently returned from a successful trip to the USA.

There he signed a nationwide distribution deal for the system in America with Wise El Santo based in St Louis, Mississippi.

He said: "Customers can now buy our system without any shipping or import hassle.

"This will provide a tremendous growth opportunity.

"In 2004 we sold more than one quarter of a million pounds' worth of product to American customers from a standing start the year before.

"Now, with blue-chip customers and a nationwide availability, I expect to see further exciting sales growth".

Mike Mile, vice president of Wise El Santo, said: "I am very excited and amazed by the system's features.

"With the increasing focus on health and safety in the workplace, this equipment offers solutions to accessing equipment and buildings throughout American business".

Robert Bokros bought a controlling interest in Lobo Systems six years ago when the company was on the verge of financial collapse.

"In the UK we supply major companies in a wide range of market sectors including Bombardier, Glaxo Smithkline, Kelloggs, the Ministry of Defence and Virgin Atlantic.

"The Lobo System will revolutionise the approach to medium height scaffolding and provides a 21st century solution to the problem of accessing equipment and buildings".
