A British work platform that provides a safe and protected working environment for operatives working up to 7m off the ground, has been supplied to the RAF for servicing Tornado GR4 (bombers) The Lobo System is produced in Derby
It has been sold around the world for use on projects as diverse as brewing, trains, the US Navy's top-gun training school and by the UK police during the recent G8 world summit at Gleneagles in Scotland.
The latest success, at RAF Marham, is through BAE Systems, where Lobo enjoys a preferred supplier status.
Rob Bokros, Lobo's managing director, explained: "Our system provides a full safety perimeter around the Tornado up to a height of 3 M, although it will extend to 7M.
This creates safe working access to every part of the aircraft".
"It is likely to be used at other RAF stations where BAE Systems undertakes the aircraft servicing.".
