The EP2400 Ultrasonic Detector Set is now able to detect leakages, for example, in steam traps.

Using the standard stethoscope stick placed directly at the steam trap enables the user to hear/measure a possible leakage in the unit.

A steam trap leakage is an expensive fault and it pays to replace the leaking valve.

Many industries, e.g food industries, have a lot of steam traps in their production facilities and some of these industries pay a lot of money for external maintenance to control steam traps.

In the future, together with the other EP2400 facilities, they will now be able to control and maintain steam traps and other applications, where a 'media' (metal/hard plastic/etc) is inserted between a leak, producing ultrasonic, and the stethoscope stick of the EP2400 unit.

The present EP2400 ultrasonic detector set is prepared for this application - you only need to change the cable between the EP2400 unit and the stethoscope stick - and remember to press the "ultrasonic" button, when you do this type of leak seeking.
