Logis-Tech Associates, sub division A-1 Technical Training now deliver a SQA certified module, "Fundamentals of Quality Assurance" a Higher National module by distance learning.

This HN module develops an understanding of quality management principles, disciplines and techniques, which are used to control a business or other organisation.

It also endevours to cover the principles of quality assurance and methods of implementation in manufacture and/or production.

This HN unit can be used to enable part exemption of the academic requirements for associate membership of the Institute of Quality Assurance [IQA].

Develops an understanding of quality management principles, disciplines and techniques, which are used to control a business or other organisation.

The HN unit is divided up into 2 sections.

Section 1 covers; Total Quality Control, Quality Systems, Specification and Standardisation, Documentation - The Quality Manual and the Procedures Manual Control and maintenance of Quality Levels, Auditing.

Section 2 covers; Purchasing and Just-In -Time Techniques, Supplier Quality Assurance, Acceptance Sampling, Process Control, Inspection and Test; Packaging, Automatic Inspection; Calibration.

This short course can be taken on its own merit 91 credit) or it can be taken as one of the core modules of the HNC in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Multidiscipline, Instrumentation and Chemical Process Engineering courses (12 credits).
