Logis-Tech Associates has reported a 48% increase in sales of its EP2400 ultrasonic leak/stethoscope detector in the period April to December 2006, compared with the same period in 2005.

Managing Director, Hugo Gallagher believes this is because the handheld, portable, highly sensitive, simple to use, device can repay its initial cost outlay and makes tremendous savings in energy and reduction in plant maintenance costs.

The EP2400 ultrasonic detector can make great savings in all types of manufacturing plants in three ways: (1) substantial energy savings (detecting leaks in compressed air or gas systems, airlines, vacuums, steam traps, tanks, window seals etc) - No more spraying.

(2) mechanical malfunctions (detection of worn bearings, gears, mechanical movable parts within casings, etc).

(3) Also locates arcing and corona discharge in electric systems.

The EP2400 ultrasonic detector is now selling worldwide.

It can be used in very noisy environments and, claim the makers, is an essential and necessary tool for all manufacturing/ maintenance/service staff working in all types of industrial plants.
