Innovations in vehicle interior lighting
Labcraft has come up with more innovative ideas to help make it easier for fleet managers to ensure that the lighting levels in their vehicle interiors meet those set by the HSE.
Engineers at Labcraft, the bright sparks of the UK interior lighting industry, have recently come up with more innovative ideas to help make it easier for fleet managers to ensure that the lighting levels in their vehicle interiors meet those set by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) Originally founded in 1956, Labcraft pioneered the development of transistorised fluorescent lighting in 1961 and is widely acknowledged as the UK's leading manufacturer of low-voltage lighting for the vehicle industry

Free 'light tests' offered for commercial vehicles
Labcraft is prompting owners and users of commercial vehicles to consider whether the vehicles meet the health and safety guidelines for sufficient interior lighting.
Cutting the cost of changing lightbulbs
How much does it cost to change a light bulb? For leasing companies the answer is nothing - provided you have internal Labcraft Lights fitted in your vehicles.
Among the brilliant new ideas for 2005 is the addition of an LED indication light to the ever popular 'Frigospot'.
The Frigospot allows users the benefit of fluorescent lights with the added bonus of instant light in cold temperatures - thanks to the dual halogen and fluorescent technology.
With the addition of the LED indication light, operators can now see when the halogen bulb is operational.

Centrifugal fans offer high flow rates
A range of centrifugal fans, designed with fume extraction in mind, are single inlet types, with forward sloping blades and offer flow rates of up to 3185m3/hr (1875ft3/min).
Safety and security products save money
Specialising in systems for safety, security and control for vehicles, plant and machinery, systems are tailored for industrial use and often pay for themselves on reduced insurance premiums alone.
Labcraft has also shed 9mm off its recessed depth, making the total recessed depth just 37mm.
New to the range of high-lux products available in early 2005 is the BLR range, a recessed version of the hugely popular batten light that has been fitted by many companies as standard, including the AA and Parcelforce.
The BLR boast all the advanced features of the batten light, including: unbreakable polycarbonate lens; XT pre-heat circuit (which gives extended tube life); long-lasting T5 fluorescent tubes; ultra-strong aluminium chassis; and an ultra-efficient reflector.
Having a recessed depth of only 38mm, the BLR is excellent for dry freight vehicles where an unobstructed load area is crucial.
The BLR can be recessed into the most unlikely and difficult places, including the roof struts that many curtain-sided vehicles uses today.
The Essex-based lighting specialist has also announced the launch of its latest timer switch for the commercial vehicle market.
Developed with health and safety paramount, it continues to provide all the standard functionality needed.
Timer switches provide fleet mangers with the peace of mind that should their vehicle's internal lights be left on by accident; it will not result in flat batteries.
Once the switch has been pressed, the lights will illuminate for a set amount of time before turning off automatically.
It can prove dangerous for operators, when working for a prolonged period, if all the lights go out together.
Labcraft's new timer switch therefore gives the operator a five-minute warning before the lights go out.
This gives the operator time to either exit the vehicle or to push the switch again to re-set the timer.
Whatever your lighting requirement, Labcraft lights are expertly designed to offer operators and their employers complete peace of mind when it comes to health and safety.
